Holiday Shopping Online Kicks Off Early

I was surprised to see the stats of my online shopping mall this morning. There was a sudden surge of visitors shopping online. Usually at this time of the year, we encounter a normal flow of visitors to shop for the halloween items. The holiday and christmas shopping starts around mid November for the past years.

It seems people do not like to wait for last minute shopping or they are making searches for better deals and offers early. The most searchable term is "Home Shopping", that indicates most people are going for online shopping at home.

Another indication for early christmas shopping is the serach for "Toys".

Can we justify that this year is going to be a record breaking for online shopping by consumers?
Gas prices are high, and traveling takes time and to save both time and money, online shopping is the best option.

Shopping Online Coupons

Bargaining for price drops, seeking for the lowest price, the scenerio of shopping. Offline shopping, you will have to talk until you are thirsty and sometimes you get the discount and other times you may not be getting any at all.

The good thing regarding price discount when you shop online is, you need not have to beg or bargain for price discount. Most shopping site will have some sort of coupons or price drops offer within the site. All you have to do is look for it.

Coupons, price drops or holiday sales offer are a good bargain for online shoping. The following stores are having coupons or price drops offer:

Shoedini Shoes

ShoeBuy Shoes

Camera

Bags & Luggages

Appliances

Amazon

Overstock

These coupons and price drops usually have expiring dates and the items will be taken off once it expire usually about two weeks.

How safe is it to shop online

Seeing the ladies walking round and round, shop after shop makes me wonder how energetic they can be. I could not even walk half a block when I feel the pain on my back. I am happy now that shopping online has become a reality, but, with some restrain. Shopping online no doubt can save you time and money(depend on where or what you buy). The only drawback is that you cannot physically view and feel the products for some items like shoes and dreses. For other standard items you need not have to physically view or feel it as you are sure to get the item delivered to you the way you want it.

The question is how safe is it to shop online. Many are still thinking twice before typing in the credit card number. So far I had made many purchases online and everything is as smooth like when you hand over your card to the cashier over the counter at the offline shopping mall.

People are afraid of fraud but have you not heard there are fraud offline as well.

Basically I will take note of a few things before I shop online.

1) Get a complete description of the items, total price including shipping and handling, delivery timeframe, warranty and the return policy.

2) Do not send any sensitive information by email. When you fill in your card number make sure that the page url should change to "https" or "shttp" indicating the information you submit is secured.

3) Print out the page for information in case you need proof later.

If you take all the neccesary precaution, all is safe when you buy online.

Google to launch classified ad database

Google Base, Google latest innovation, is testing a new searchable database service, which will expand the company's reach into online classifieds and into the territory of Internet auctioneer eBay.
Google spokeswoman Eileen Rodriguez noted that the company was testing a new way for content owners to submit their content to Google, which would complement Google's search features.
The service would let internet users submit information about a wide range of personal items, free of charge, to a publicly searchable database maintained by Google.
In a description on the Google Base site, the company described the service as "Google's database into which you can add all types of content."
Among the items listed as examples of what could be submitted were used cars, descriptions of a party planning service and a "database of protein structures."
By allowing sellers to individually hawk items they want to get rid of without charging a fee, Google Base could pose a direct challenge to eBay, whose business is founded on the millions of listings it attracts from sellers.

Will this help shoppers shopping online. We have to wait and see.
